Grand Lake, Colorado

Stroll down the “Old West” boardwalk on Grand Lake’s main street, and you’ll feel the history of this charming Colorado mountain town that was founded in 1881. Today, the wooden sidewalk connects more than 60 Grand Lake businesses, including restaurants, shops, bars, and galleries.

Sun Valley Lake

For more than a century, visitors in the summer and winter alike have been coming to Grand Lake to take in the natural beauty of the deepest lake in Colorado, the rugged mountain views, and the wildlife at Rocky Mountain National Park.

Known as the “western entrance” to Rocky Mountain National Park, Grand Lake also can lay claim to the deepest natural lake in Colorado (at 265 feet), and the second largest body of water in Colorado (Lake Granby) is close by.

The Log House at Moose Lake Lodge is located just 3.5 miles from Grand Lake, Colorado, on a pristine private lake, Sun Valley Lake. Our lakeshore house has a private dock, and boats for your use (at your own risk) when the lake is thawed.
