Elk House

Lakefront home in a fantastic location!  Great lake and mountain views.  Catch and release fishing at your doorstep. We provide a dock and watercraft for use at your own risk.

Decks

Huge furnished deck, overlooking Sun Valley Lake, with a sunny southern exposure. Also two covered entry porches The two upstairs bedrooms have furnished balconies.

Sleeps up to 9 people.

Beds/Baths

4 bedrooms, 2 baths:

#1 – KING BED

  • large room with a desk
  • on the main level

#2 – QUEEN BED

  • on main level

#3 – KING BED

  • on second level with a balcony
  • fold-out twin sleeper sofa

  • on second level with a balcony overlooking the lake

We also provide a pack-and-play crib. There are clean linens on the beds when you arrive. We provide a limited number of towels. You may wish to bring some extra towels.

Kitchen

Fully equipped, huge kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, range and oven, refrigerator, cooking utensils, plates, glasses, etc.

Dining Room

Large dining table seating up to 10 people.

Fireplaces

Wood burning stove with glass doors. We provide some firewood in the winter, fall and spring.  You can also buy firewood in town.

Laundry

Washer and dryer available.

Communications and TV

High speed Wi-Fi Internet.  Bring your own laptop computer. Cell phone service is good for most carriers, especially Verizon. Direct TV Satellite system, and DVD player.

Barbecue

Propane barbecue on the deck. (Propane available at Winding River Resort and Elk Creek Campgrounds if you run out.)

Pets

Well- behaved  pets are generally allowed in the Elk House with prior approval. Please discuss when making a reservation. There is a small additional charge for pets.

Other Information

No Smoking!

No parties or events! The house, decks, and the lake facilities are for the use of registered guests only. Please do not invite extra people to visit, without prior permission from Stan or Rhondda.

No loud music!

No outdoor fires!

No tents or RV’s allowed on the property.

Rates and Availability

Summer (Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend): $330/night for up to 8 people.
Xmas/New Year and July 4 Holiday period: $360/night for up to 8 people.
Other times: $200 – $300/night for up to 8 people.
Additional people (including babies and children) up to a maximum of 10 people at $25/person/night. Please call 303-740-7441 or e-mail us for a precise quote.

Please Note: We try very hard to ensure that all of the above features and amenities will be available to you. However, we do not guarantee availability and function of every amenity and feature. We would attempt to repair any problem or replace an item as soon as possible, but sometimes it is impossible to fix things on very short notice. We do not offer refunds for problems beyond our control, e.g.  broken appliances, carpet stains, short term power outages, TV  outage, Wi-Fi outage etc.  If the house becomes uninhabitable due to a long term power outage, plumbing problems etc., then we would try to find other equivalent accommodations, or offer a refund for the unused nights.
